The Toffees were hammered 2-0 by the Saints, with Danny Ings setting up both James Ward-Prowse and Che Adams to inspire them to victory.

However, despite Everton's defeat, they still top the charts with 13 points, on level with champions Liverpool who sit second.

Liverpool come from 1 goal down to beat Sheffield United in a tough Premier League clash

The Reds laboured through their match six against Sheffield United to salvage a 2-1 win at home on Saturday, October 24.

Aston Villa are third with 12 points, with Leicester completing the top four slots all thanks to their 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Second half substitute Jamie Vardy helped the Foxes leave it late, heading home the only goal of the match in the 80th minute.

The victory was Leicester's first away at Arsenal in 47 years, with their last coming in 1973.

United are placed 15th with seven points, a point behind Man City who are 13th after they were held to a 1-1 disappointing draw by West Ham United.

Tottenham, on the other hand have a chance to move fifth above Leeds United should they beat Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday night, October 26.

All the three teams have salvaged just a point each.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has now gone five games without finding the back of the net for the first time in his spell with Arsenal.

The Gunners were beaten by visiting Leicester City courtesy of a Jamie Vardy goal ten minutes from time.

Aubameyang last scored a goal for Arsenal in their opening day win over Fulham and has fired blanks ever since.

The Gabonese striker has gone without scoring in their last five matches, a record which he last experienced with Dortmund in 2014.

The 31-year-old signed a new lucrative deal in the summer but his current form has raised concerns and criticisms from different quarters.
