Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero has reportedly being offered the chance to return to his former side Racing Club from Manchester United due to lack of playing time.
Sergio Romero was linked with a move to Everton before the recent transfer window closed, but Manchester United chiefs blocked his exit from Old Trafford.
He has also been left out of Manchester United's 25-man squad for the Premier League and also the Champions League which means Romero will only be playing in Cup games.
According to the report on UK Sun, the 33-year-old was livid with this development and has told Manchester United chiefs that he wants to leave.
Manchester United gaffer Ole Solskjaer has picked David De Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant as the three goalkeepers he will be using for Premier League and Champions League this term.
The report added that Racing Club chief Victor Blanco made it clear that the side will love to have Sergio Romero back if he is interested.
"I dream of bringing Chiquito [Romero], but he has to come with the conviction of wanting to return, knowing that he’s not going to earn in dollars or the amount of money he earns in Europe".
Since joining Manchester United five years ago from Monaco, Sergio Romero has only played seven games for the Red Devils.
