Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the ministry of youth and sports development alerted Nigerians on a fake group that facilitates a so-called Nigerian Youth Investment Fund (NYIF).
On its Facebook page, the ministry revealed that the group operates through WhatsApp and the Telegram messaging platforms to provide business registration, account opening, and other services linked to the NYIF for a certain amount of money.
The sports ministry, therefore, alerted all citizens, especially youths never to patronise such a fraudulent set of persons.

The ministry clarified that application and Entrepreneurship development training for the NYIF is at no cost whatsoever, adding that business registration and account opening services are to be accessed directly through approved federal government institutions and legal organisations.
In another report, civil society organisation, Yiaga Africa, called on government at all levels in Nigeria to ensure that its policies and decisions are youth and gender-responsive, saying there is a need for consistent engagement with government at not just the federal level but at the state level.
Director of Programmes, Yiaga Africa, Cynthia Mbamalu said this during a Live Virtual Studio Citizens Townhall on Youth Responsive Service Delivery and Development organized by the organisation.
