A report by the Voice of Nigeria says that Dr. Ngong Cyprian has become the first person to be given a COVID-19 vaccine in the country.
Legit.ng gathered that Dr. Cyprian of the National Hospital, Abuja, is also Nigeria's first health worker to receive the jab.
Dr. Cyprian received the jab during a launching ceremony on Thursday, March 5, at the National Hospital, Abuja.
Dr. Ngong Cyprian is the first Nigerian to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

The medical doctor was given one of the 3.92 million doses of Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine that would be given in the coming weeks.
He has been at the isolation centre since February 2020, when the virus was first detected in Nigeria.
Speaking after his vaccination, the doctor said he has dreamt of taking the vaccine and he feels good, Channels TV reports.
