- The coordinators are expected to drive the message of the group across the country in support of Tinubu presidency
FCT, Abuja - The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) on Saturday, October 23 unveiled Tinubu's legacies and inaugurated its states' steering committees to signal the commencement of the 2023 presidential campaign of former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event which was held at the TSG campaign office in Maitama, Abuja was attended by notable All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains across the country.
Speaking at the event, the director-general of the TSG, Arch. Umar Ibrahim Mohammed noted that the inauguration of the committee is in support of the group's collective aspiration for a new and better Nigeria from 2023.

“Our mission is to support, encourage and promote visionary, patriotic, credible, and competent leadership with manifest capacity, a leader(ship) that is on a mission, with a sense of urgency, capable of making a difference in quality service delivery and in good governance.
“Our main objective as a group, therefore, is the mobilisation of visible additional support/followership and a formidable and popular grassroots support base for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Tinubu is a bridge-builder across regional, ethnic and religious lines that is capable of uniting the country. We have identified him as an exceptional manager of resources and a seasoned administrator and we are convinced that the nation needs him in the next dispensation.
“We have no doubt that he has the capacity and the political will to institute a new concept of governance and a new agenda of sustainable development, to provide effective leadership, capable of providing solutions to the numerous challenges confronting the nation.

“It is on this note and given the above narratives, that we, therefore, call on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to avail the nation of his enormous wealth of experience, outstanding and visionary leadership qualities, to contest the 2023 presidential election.”
On his part, Hon. James Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, stated that to secure the votes of the majority in 2023, the APC must present a candidate THAT knows where the shoe pinches the average Nigerian.
“That man is Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Asiwaju of Lagos, Lagos state. The Jagaban of Borgu, Niger state. The Eze-Obaludike Egwu of Oko, Anambra state. He is already our national leader.
“By the practice and standards in other climes, when the issue of raising a presidential candidate is on the front-burner, such a personality should be given the right of first refusal.
“We are putting forward this gift of God to humanity, a man generously gifted in intellect, political sagacity, and application of ideas to solving the challenges of governance.

“A man endowed with generosity and passion for taking risks to protect, promote and propagate the interest of the people.
“The Tinubu Support Group was set up by all of us who believe that only Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has the divine gift to continue the progressive strides of President Muhammadu Buhari.”
Faleke ended his speech by urging Tinubu to declare his 2023 presidential ambition immediately.

Meanwhile, the Arewa Youth Alliance for 2023, has drummed up support for Tinubu, stressing that he is the best presidential material in 2023.
The group charged all political parties to commence a process of adopting Tinubu as the sole candidate for Nigeria.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, October 20, in Kano, the group coordinator, Honourable Bello Lawan Bello, said the APC leader has all it takes to rule the country.
