Nigeria went as far as the second round at the World Cup in 1994 and also in the 2014 tournament.

“I wish to have a group not too difficult to come out of the group, thereafter anything can happen. I hope to surpass the record of the USA 94 World Cup at least a quarter final spot at next year World Cup in Russia,” he told Sporting Life.
