Manhunt for killer cop

Police in Zaka have launched a massive manhunt for a police officer who reportedly killed a pedestrian who was mentally  challenged  last week.

 According to an internal police communication in Zaka dispatched to all police stations countywide and seen by Bulawayo24.com, a constable Ngwenya, force number 077016N knocked down a pedestrian  along Chiredzi-Roy road on May 10.

"Be advised that the above mentioned member stationed this LOC  attached to PISI section was driving a RUNX ADU 0312 along Chiredzi -Roy road on 10-05-17 around 0740 hours when he reached the 51 km peg, he hit a pedestrian who is mental patient" reads part of the memorandum.

"He ferried him to Musiso Hospital where he died upon admission.

"When CST Ngwenya saw that the victim had died he then drove to an unknown  destination and is nowhere to be found.

"May all stations be on the lookout for  same. If seen arrest, detain and advise this LOC for escort. ZRP Ngundu to check at village 5  Nyahome. Gutu/Zaka traffic RRB number 262311 refers".
