Mugabe has rewarded non performers - Zapu

Zapu deputy secretary general Mjobisi Noko has said President Robert Mugabe is fond of rewarding the non performers which has been seen during his appointment of ministers in his Monday reshuffle of cabinet.

Mugabe reshuffled cabinet on Monday and dumped others.

"The country has just witnessed another blunder from Robert Mugabe. Mugabe yesterday realligned his looting mafia group amid months of speculation.Over the past 37 years Mugabe has presided over the destruction of once a bread basket of Africa. A country that had a stronger currency in 1980. He has over the years reschuffled his non perfoming bootlickers. Cabinet is no exception . He has reshuffled deadwood and now he has fossilized it," Noko said.

"Mugabe has rewarded non performers, looters, gang of thieves and he is further promoting kleptocracy. Ignatius Chombo and Obert Mpofu can not be entrusted with the running of core ministries. Surely in the case of Chombo its putting " Gonzo mudura" , worse Mr Victoria falls will preside on the injustices left by cde Chombo. It is well known that these ministers have amassed their wealth through corrupt means."

"Therefore ZAPU views this cabinet with utmost disgust and disdain. This cabinet will not take the restless Zimbabweans to the promised land of milk and honey.

The mother party hence calls Robert Mugabe and his team of non perfomers to resign and set the ground for a free , fair and credible election that will usher in a fresh group of servant leaders who will bring in a new narrative."
