
Mnangagwa arrived in Bulawayo on Thursday evening to preside over the Lupane State University graduation in Lupane, 175 kilometres from Bulawayo.
Later on the day, Mnangagwa was scheduled to address the UCAZ conference at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo.By 3pm, the city centre still had no electricity, in a development that residents said should be an embarrassment to Mnangagwa.
"He has come face to face with the power cuts that affect us on a daily basis and we hope this will inspire him and his government to act on the power crisis," said a resident.
