GMAZ Chairman nominated for Megafest business award





Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe GMAZ National Chairman Mr Tafadzwa Musarara has been nominated to receive a top business award.

Musarara 2019 Megafest  Top 20 Awards in the Outstanding Man In Business of the year category.

The GMAZ boss was being considered because he demonstrated business excellence and the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity and civic and social responsibility.

Musarara and GMAZ have championed a Feeding Scheme in Cyclone Idai affected areas, under this feeding scheme they have provided meals for over 10 000 children at primary schools in affected areas.

Earlier this yea,  Musarara and GMAZ initiated an industry self-regulation program which was meant to monitor prices of bread, mealie meal and basic commodities, in a bid to protect consumers from profiteering retailers. The program stabilised prices, until it was outlawed by the Competition and Tarrif Commission.

There are several other projects undertaken by GMAZ Musarara which have gone a long way towards ensuring that Zimbabwe remains food secure.

The Megafest business awards are set to be held in Harare on the 13th of December 2019.
