Residents go for months without electricity

PUMULA residents have gone for many days without electricity after a local transformer was reportedly stolen.

The  Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) is reportedly reluctant or failing to restore the transformer much to the chagrin of residents.

A resident said  they have not been having electricity for quite a long time since the transformer was stolen but ZESA was not forth coming to rescue them from continuous darkness.

Councillor for the area, Sikhululekile Moyo said the transformer was not stolen but developed a fault.
Zesa officials could not be reached for comment.
