Man breaks in house steals decoder replace it with non-functional one

BULAWAYO man from Makokoba broke into neighbours house, stole an open view decoder and replaced it with a non-functional one worth $450.

Blessmore Sibanda (19) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Lizwe Jamela charged with theft.

He pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody to February 27.

Sibanda stole from Chipo Buseta (47) a neighbour.

On February 13, Buseta of Vulindlela Flats in Makokoba left her home, to Renkini bus terminus at around 9am and left everything in order as the door was not locked.

It is alleged that that during her absence, Sibanda gained entry and stole an open view decoder and replaced it with the other one which was not working.

She returned home and discovered the offence, Buseta. The neighbour Vincent Moyo said the decoder was taken by Sibanda.

A report was made to the police, which led to Sibanda's arrest.
