South Africa to send army to fight islamic terrorists in Mozambique

South African government is reportedly putting systems to send its army to wage a war against the extremist Islamist insurgents that have liberated some parts of northern Mozambique.

South African Minister of international relations and cooperation Naledi Pandor told the media on Friday that the two countries were in talks about what assistance South Africa could provide.

Recently a meeting of SADC Troika was convened in Harare to discuss the intervention of SADC in the fight against the Islamic terrorists.

There are unconfirmed reports that Harare deployed an elite troop to Mozambique after President Emmerson Mnangagwa had a flash meeting with the Mozambican ruler Filipe Nyusi in Chimoio.

A Private Military Contractor led by former Zimbabwean Colonel Lionel Dyk is currently holding the tender of being contract killers in Mozambique.

Insurgents have been staging attacks in Mozambique's northernmost province of Cabo Delgado, home to gas projects led by the likes of Total and Exxon Mobil Corp, since 2017, but the violence has escalated in recent months.
