Mukoko calls for justice on human rights

The Chairperson for Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO forum Jestina Mukoko addressed the aspect of violation of human rights at a press conference held in Harare yesterday.

Mukoko said that there is need for thorough investigations on the abduction of Joana Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova.

"We need the Commissioner General of Police to establish what transpired in the abduction and torture of Mamombe,Chimbiri and Marova.

The outcome of such investigations should also be released for the benefit of the general public," she said.

Mukoko added that," The perpetrators of the abduction and torture of the three should be identified and fully prosecuted in the terms of criminals laws of Zimbabwe."

Mukoko further called for measures to be taken pertaining also the unlawful arrest and assault of Nokuthula Mpofu and Ntombizodwa Mpofu.
