Malema told to celebrate Joshua Nkomo and Tongogara

South African opposition leader Mmusi Maimane has urged EFF leader Julius Sello Malema to cease from celebrating the late Zimbabwean strongman Robert Mugabe because he was a ruthless dictator.

In a Twitter conversation with Malema on Tuesday Maimane said, "One day I hope we have this debate properly. I know you love Mugabe but I am not convinced he should be celebrated by Progressive Pan Africans.

Who approved Mugabe's picture? We can not be celebrating Mugabe on this day, on any day.

"I think you love your people. You will fight for them. However I don't think Mugabe was the same as you.

1. Gukurahundhi massacres.
2. Operation murambastvina
3. Rigged elections 2002 and 2008.
4. Suppression of media.
5. Abductions of political opponents."

Maimane said Malema should focus on heaping his praises to Zimbabweans who have done great work for their followers.

"Some praiseworthy Zimbabwean leaders for consideration. 1. Dumiso Dabengwa 2. Josiah Tongogara 3. Joshua Nkomo"

Malema is a self-confessed admirer of Mugabe.
