Emmanuel Machaya "Dr Togara" (37) has been arrested today for masquerading as a qualified medical doctor operating a surgery in Kwekwe called Medical Oasis surgery without medical license and qualifications.

Kwekwe detectives were tipped off after a team made up of the Ministry of Health and Child Care officials and Zimbabwe Medical association who investigated Machaya before alerting the police, Bulawayo24.com has learnt.

It is also established that Machaya dropped out of college while studying his sonographic course.

Machaya appeared before Kwekwe magistrate Samukelisiwe Gumbo today and granted bail $5 000 facing charges of contravening the Health Profession act.

Bulawayo24.com contacted Machaya for comment but the phone was unreasonable.
